About Oh, How Generous You Are, Lord
Mustafa Says Garage meets Ibrahim Al-Qazzaz, a taxi driver who lost his wife in a collision and whose only daughter, Fatima, lost her sight, which drives him to become addicted to drinking alcohol to forget what he went through. He later marries Jamalat, who tries to court Mustafa, who rejects all her attempts with him.
Directed by Hussein Omara, Oh, How Generous You Are, Lord leans on a strong ensemble — Farid Shawqy, Nour El-Sherif, Poussi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1983.
