On a large yacht, skullduggery is afoot, presumably some sort of drug smuggling involving Richard (Ric Lutze) and a mysterious boss/gangster character. On dry land there's plenty of humping (including the inevitable orgy) and searching for information, but no imparting of the latter.
Directed by Bob Vosse, Miss Laid Lovers leans on a strong ensemble — Jan Claude, Angel Ducharme, Amika Giortano — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about mystery titles of 1978.
