The sun in the swamp

Rad (Saeed Rad), who is suspicious of his sister's relationship with a man, burns them in a fire, and escapes on horseback into a deserted forest. Rad takes refuge in a forest hut, where a man named Schalko (Mohammad Ali Keshavarz) lives with his wife Seman (Fakhri Khorvash and his daughter (Noor)). Saman informs the villagers around the forest about Rad's presence in their hut. Frees Rad in an attack to knock him out.

Directed by Mohammad Saffar, The sun in the swamp leans on a strong ensemble — Saeed Rad, Fakhri Khorvash, Mohammadali Keshavarz — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1974.
