Similar to many other superhero porn projects of the '70s, it is basically a takeoff on Superman, with statuesque Alice as Linda Gluck who at a snap of her fingers turns into Flash Beaver, a caped crusader for sexual freedom. Like Clark Kent she has a sidekick named Jimmy.
Directed by Richard Benedict, The Adventures of Flash Beaver leans on a strong ensemble — Chesley Noone, Daniel Beroe, Robert Dalton — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1972.
