Amazing things happen on the eve of New Year. Nika is going to a bachelorette party before her own wedding, to a country boarding house. On the way, her car is cut off by a rare pink Buick driven by a handsome young man. Fate itself brings them together again and again, and each time such meetings end in quarrels. However, the heroine is intrigued; she can no longer do without the mysterious acquaintance who has dropped into her life like a bolt from the blue.
Directed by Oleksandr Daruga, Snow on One’s Head leans on a strong ensemble — Artyom Mikhalkov, Maksim Lagashkin, Aleksandr Loye — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 2009.
