About Kan Gövdeyi Götürdü
The film is about two friends trying to take down a crime gang. Metin, who was recently suspended from his job as a police officer, is making a living doing other jobs. He befriends Münir, a police detective who has recently moved to the same neighborhood. Münir is currently investigating a criminal gang that the police have been tracking. He offers Metin the opportunity to work together. At first, Metin is reluctant to get involved. However, he eventually decides to do everything in his power to help Münir dismantle the gang.
Directed by Yılmaz Atadeniz, Kan Gövdeyi Götürdü leans on a strong ensemble — Yılmaz Güney, Münir Özkul, Gülbin Eray — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1965.
