About Alabama's Ghost
A nightclub janitor discovers the personal effects of a magician and uses them to become a popular magician himself. Tampering with the secrets of the beyond has its price, however, as he soon learns when he is confronted by voodoo, vampirism, and an eviscerated ghost.
Directed by Fredric Hobbs, Alabama's Ghost leans on a strong ensemble — Christopher Brooks, Steven Kent Browne, E. Kerrigan Prescott — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 1973.
