During the confinement caused by the COVID-19 crisis, Paloma, a 19-year-old girl, suscribes to a dating network with people of the same sex. The young woman begins to lose her mind when a double, exactly like her, appears on this contact website with clear intentions to supplant her. Her only goal will be to find the woman who wants to impersonate her identity.

Directed by Alfonso Cortés-Cavanillas, Ego leans on a strong ensemble — María Pedraza, Pol Monen, Alicia Borrachero — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2021.
