
Florence and Chet Keefer have had a troublesome marriage. Whilst in the middle of a divorce hearing the judge encourages them to remember the good times they have had hoping that the marriage can be saved.
Directed by George Cukor, The Marrying Kind leans on a strong ensemble — Judy Holliday, Aldo Ray, Madge Kennedy — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1952.
