About Mannen utan ansikte
A heavily indebted construction entrepreneur robs a bank in Jakomäki, Helsinki. He takes two officers and one customer hostage from the bank. In addition to himself, the desperate robber threatens to blow up the hostages if the police who left to follow them try to prevent the escape.
Directed by Lauri Törhönen, Mannen utan ansikte leans on a strong ensemble — Tom Pöysti, Jonna Järnefelt, Stina Rautelin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about crime titles of 1995.
