Szewczyk Dratewka

Another meeting on losses and ways to act on the presence of the dragon under the king's castle begins. Queen Henry unexpectedly appears at the meeting and wants to throw a fresh perspective on the problem. Unfortunately, the ideas proposed by the participants do not satisfy the queen. The woman constantly scoffs at the suggested solutions and ridicules the members of the meeting. As it turns out, she herself has a much better way to tame the beast.

Directed by Jan Jurkowski, Szewczyk Dratewka leans on a strong ensemble — Joanna Kołaczkowska, Wojciech Leonowicz, Hubert Podgórski — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about fantasy titles of 2019.
