The Goddess Cums Again

Asakura Kotomi's last film serves as her official farewell and was partly filmed as the adult star's send-off. A woman was a regular office lady when she had an affair with her boss. She quit her job however and subsequently met an old friend. She was connected to a new position being a counselor as a result. She would counsel men at the customers' houses. Clients are men who have no friends or families and suffer from sexual dysfunctions. She proved to be helpful.

Directed by Daisuke Yamanouchi, The Goddess Cums Again leans on a strong ensemble — Kotomi Asakura, Ayane Suzukawa, Kyouko Maki — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2017.
