About Night of Fear
A young girl who has just spent an afternoon playing tennis and making love with a man, gets accidentally run off the road by a truck. Ending up on a dead-end dirt road, her car gets stuck in a ditch, where she starts getting terrorized by a drooling, gibbering psycho, who also has a colony of rats.
Directed by Terry Bourke, Night of Fear leans on a strong ensemble — Norman Yemm, Carla Hoogeveen, Mike Dorsey — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 1973.
