
Angela Delmar works as a waitress for one of the seedier bars in Manila. There she meets five patrons of the bar, who also turn out to be a gang specializing in drugging and raping girls and later on selling them to prostitution.
Directed by Lino Brocka, Angela Markado leans on a strong ensemble — Hilda Koronel, Johnny Delgado, Celia Rodriguez — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about crime titles of 1980.
