Grandmas

The case brings two older women together. Lonely and embittered by the whole world, Zhenya is forced to unite with the eccentric and good-natured Mila in order to get out of the circumstances in which they found themselves thanks to a chance acquaintance with two young frivolous neighbors.

Directed by Nikita Vladimirov, Grandmas leans on a strong ensemble — Olga Volkova, Anna Aleksakhina, Alexandra Veleskevich — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2022.
