About An Honest Crook
The story follows Ah Can, played by Bill Tung, who travels from mainland China to Hong Kong to attend to the affairs of his recently deceased father, Fang Damao, a character also portrayed by Tung. While in Hong Kong, Ah Can is drawn into a whirlwind of events involving his gambling cousin. Along the way, he discovers his father’s hidden stash of valuable diamonds, sparking a series of comedic misadventures.
Directed by Luk Bong, An Honest Crook leans on a strong ensemble — Meg Lam Kin-Ming, Felix Lok Ying-Kwan, Liu Wai-Hung — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
