Early to Rise

On the way to a distant planet, three less-than-qualified astronauts are awoken 90 years too early and trapped inside their hibernation pods. Alone in the endless void, they can’t kill themselves, they can’t kill each other, so they’ll just have to kill time.

Directed by Alec Cohen, Early to Rise leans on a strong ensemble — Mike Cabellon, Katie Sicking, Adrien Pellerin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2021.
