Invisible Tenants

Junyi and Biru, a young couple who are about to have their first child, decide to move back to their hometown villa, which is full of their childhood memories. However, their happiness did not last long. Junyi is haunted by the painful memories of his first love, Jixi, who disappeared in this villa. At the same time, Biru discovers that a suspicious stranger has appeared, and she is convinced that someone is watching them in the house.

Directed by Yulei Li, Invisible Tenants leans on a strong ensemble — Yiying Liu, Zhou Yitao, Yan Xiang — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 2021.
