Two closely-bound, emotionally wounded siblings reunite after years apart.

In early 1960s Northern England, Frank Machin is mean, tough and ambitious enough to become an immediate star in the rugby league team run by local employer Weaver.

In the not too distant future, two young women who live in a remote ancient forest discover the world around them is on the brink of an apocalypse. Informed only by rumor, they fight intruders, disease, loneliness & starvation.

When a woman’s twin sister is drowned, she assumes her identity in order to be close to the man she feels her sister took from her years before.
