Karl and Ruger are filmmakers who have persuaded Kristy, one of the biggest stars in sex films, to star in Karl's next movie. However, while Kristy may be a major draw, she also marches to her own drummer, and midway through the shooting schedule she decides to take a vacation in Cancun. At first, Karl and Ruger think they can just re-cast Kristy's role and move on without her, but the audition process does little but show them just how valuable Kristy truly is.
Directed by Francis Locke, Kristy Comes Home leans on a strong ensemble — Serrano Rios, Tabitha Stevens, Shyla Stylez — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2005.
