About Cézar a detektívi
A comedic story about little Jurek, who, with the help of his aunt, unsuccessfully tries to hide the circus pony Cézar from the circus workers and a fake private detective. However, he does not find understanding for his attempt even from his own parents, who, in the rush of everyday worries, do not devote much time to him.
Directed by Viktor Svoboda, Dimitrij Plichta, Cézar a detektívi leans on a strong ensemble — Juraj Michl, Oľga Šalagová, Věra Ferbasová — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 1968.
