Spartacus '71

A story of a family during the 1971 Liberation War in Bangladesh and their family getting punished by the ruthless Pakistani soldiers. Mahbub, a Bengali himself, is supporting Pakistan in order to save himself.

Directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Spartacus '71 leans on a strong ensemble — Nafiza Jahan, Kochi Khondokar, Kazi Shahir Huda Rumi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2005.
