Pac-Man is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera based on the video game Pac-Man by Namco, which premiered on ABC and ran from 1982 to 1983. It was also the first Hanna-Barbera animated series based on a video game.
Directed by Joseph Barbera, William Hanna, Pac-Man leans on a strong ensemble — Marty Ingels, Barry Gordon, Barbara Minkus — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 1982.
