The Associates

The Associates is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from 1979–1980. The series starred Martin Short and was cancelled after nine of its thirteen episodes aired, but was nominated for two Golden Globes after its cancellation. The series was produced by Paramount Television.

Directed by Ed. Weinberger, James L. Brooks, Stan Daniels, The Associates leans on a strong ensemble — Joe Regalbuto, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Martin Short — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1979.
