A ship owners’ agent investigates cases along the Saint Lawrence Seaway. SEAWAY is a Canadian drama series that aired on CBC Television from 1965 to 1966. The series was a Seaway Films production in collaboration with the UK's ATV, with production money provided by the CBC. It was presented by ASP and distributed internationally by ITC Entertainment.
Directed by Abraham Polonsky, Seaway leans on a strong ensemble — Austin Willis, Stephen Young — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1965.
