About Beauty Centre
The story begins with the return of Anna Borsi from the summer holiday, with her children Sara and Michelino and with the subsequent discovery of the death of her husband, Armando. Anna finds herself facing a sea of debts, but advised by her husband's accountant, Francesca Cialdi, and helped by the hairdresser Luca Manfridi and the interior decorator Vicky Melzi, she decides to open a hairdressing shop for ladies: "Il Bello delle Donne".
Directed by Teodosio Losito, Beauty Centre leans on a strong ensemble — Stefania Sandrelli, Giuliana De Sio — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2001.
