A Child's Hope was a chinese medical drama made to promote the charity known as National Kidney Foundation Singapore that aired on Medicorp TV Channel 8 that ran from 2003 to 2004 and focused on the working and personal lives of the doctors, social workers and trainee nurses in the paediatric department who care for critically ill children with chronic diseases or terminal illnesses, such as congenital heart diseases and kidney problems.
Directed by Yeo Saik Pin, A Child's Hope leans on a strong ensemble — Tay Ping-Hui, Phyllis Quek, Yvonne Lim — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2003.
