On a search for the truth behind a family secret, young Aboriginal Australian delinquent Robyn escapes from juvenile detention and teams up with preacher's son Gidge. Together, they travel to Adelaide seeking answers, while in pursuit are a couple AFP officers, as well as Gidge's father and a madam.
Directed by Dylan River, Tanith Glynn-Maloney, Thou Shalt Not Steal leans on a strong ensemble — Sherry-Lee Watson, Will McDonald, Noah Taylor — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
