On Laem Sing Beach in the Buddhist era 2540 (1997), on a day when the grey sky portended a coming storm, Kamol gave birth to Suricha in the middle of a fishing boat. In the depths below them was the shadow of a great serpent waiting to give its blessing. Kamol did not survive, however, and Suricha was raised by a single father. Fifteen years later, out of nowhere, Suricha loses another important figure in her life to suicide. There was only a tuft of fiery red hair by her father's body. In Chanthaburi 2565 (2022), twenty-five-year-old Suricha is a beautician with particular skills. When she touches someone's hair, she sees numbers related to their fate. When that skill gives her the knowledge to help the salon of a famous makeup artist out of its plight, she gains the disfavour of the manager Yukha.
Directed by —, Naka De Salon leans on a strong ensemble — Prariyapit Yu, Wanarat Ratsameerat, Pinyadar Salinvarradar — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2024.
