The story takes place over three days and two nights and is woven together from four omnibus stories. The story begins with a novelist struggling to meet a deadline, a popular actor on a secret trip with his lover, a businessman who wants to quit his job after dealing with complaints, and a kidnapper who has held a hostage in a room, all gathering at a resort hotel.
Directed by Hanta Kinoshita, Room ~ Shijo Saiaku no Ichigoichie leans on a strong ensemble — Hidekazu Mashima, Shoot Mori, Jinto Yoshida — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about mystery titles of 2024.
