Barankins and Power Stones

Varvara, the first coachwoman in the history of the city, who began the Barankin family, teleports to the streets of modern Moscow from 1804. A meeting with a relative from the past gives Moscow taxi driver Bata and his three grown-up children magical superpowers encased in power stones. They are very helpful, for example, in unpredictable work in a taxi, but, alas, they only exacerbate personal conflicts. And in the footsteps of Barbara, the mysterious and immortal Velimir is already walking, who dreams of taking possession of the stones.

Directed by Mikhail Polyakov, Barankins and Power Stones leans on a strong ensemble — Yuliya Topolnitskaya, Andrey Fedortsov, Kuzma Saprykin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2025.
