Soledade González is the housekeeper for Anselmo, a father of five: Jesus—who is disabled—Ramiro, Sheila, André, and Luíza. Knowing he was near death, Anselmo married Soledade so she would take charge of his children.
Directed by Inés Rodena, Soledad leans on a strong ensemble — Libertad Lamarque, Salvador Pineda, Christian Bach — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1980.
