The series tells the love story between Hamad and Jawahir. Hamad is the son of the clan's sheikh. Hamad marries Jawahir, and after a period of time, they do not have children. Hamad's family decides to marry him to his cousin Zuwayna so that he can have children with her. Zuwayna loved him very much before he married Jawahir, so jealousy and hatred arise towards Jawahir, and she plots to keep her away from Hamad.

Directed by هشام يانس, جواهر leans on a strong ensemble — Marah Jabr, Mona Wassef, Abdul Rahman Al-Rashi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1994.
