About Adventure of Gamba
A mouse named Gamba learns of the island of Yumemishima, where mice are being terrorized by Noroi the white weasel. Gamba gathers a group of seven mice to journey to Yumemishima and put an end to Noroi's tyranny. Based on the 1972 novel Boukenshatachi: Ganba to 15-hiki no Nakama by Atsuo Saitō.
Directed by Osamu Dezaki, Adventure of Gamba leans on a strong ensemble — Kazuko Yanaga, Ranko Mizuki, Kenji Utsumi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action & adventure titles of 1975.
