The Return of the Condor Heroes is a Chinese television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel of the same title. It is the second installment of a trilogy produced by Zhang Jizhong, preceded by The Legend of the Condor Heroes and followed by The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. It was first broadcast on 17 March 2006 in China and subsequently broadcast in other Asian countries such as South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore.

One year after a devastating flood kills five locals in an idyllic country town, a mysterious new plant appears with the power to restore their youth.

Xiao Zhiyu and Hu Xiu are brought together by a Republic of China-themed murder mystery game. In the scripted NPC game filled with falling snow and spies in the shadows, the two ignite a fateful spark. An unexpected reunion in the real world reveals the mystery of each other's identities. The two shuttle between the misaligned time-spaces of reality and the script, and finally achieve two-way growth in the cross-dimensional bond, completing the transformation of love and self.
