Terapie is HBO Europe’s Czech adaptation of the Israeli award-winning TV drama series BeTipul (In Treatment), part of a series of adaptations that also includes Romanian, Polish and Hungarian versions. It explores one of the defining features of modern society, therapy, as seen through the eyes of a psychiatrist whose professional and personal life is on the verge of collapse.

Directed by Petr Zelenka, In Treatment leans on a strong ensemble — Karel Roden — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2011.
