About The Penguins of Madagascar
The adventures of four penguins—Skipper, Kowalski, Private, and Rico, who perform various commando-like missions to protect their home in the Central Park Zoo. The penguins often have to deal with problems caused, or made worse, by their zoo neighbors, King Julien XIII (a ring-tailed lemur), Maurice (an aye-aye), and Mort (a mouse lemur).
Directed by Eric Darnell, Tom McGrath, The Penguins of Madagascar leans on a strong ensemble — Tom McGrath, Jeff Bennett, James Patrick Stuart — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 2008.
