About King of Gambler
After seven years in prison, Long Si returns to Shanghai to regain everything that he lost. On the train, he got to know more than a dozen heroes and soon thirteen of them became sworn brothers. Long Si only took seven days to regain the dominance of the Shanghai casino. As promised, he divided his casinos among twelve sworn brothers. Unfortunately, the twelve brothers fight against each other because of the greed for profit.
Directed by Tsang Kan-Cheong, King of Gambler leans on a strong ensemble — Patrick Tse Yin, Damian Lau Chung-Yan, Cecilia Yip Tung — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action & adventure titles of 1996.
