About Where the Wild Boars Go
It happens around Zagreb in 1941-1943, during World War II. Two groups of smugglers led by Crni Rok and Veriga, fight for supremacy on the black market. They also have to deal with the Germans, Ustashas, the police and communist illegals.
Directed by Ivan Hetrich, Ivo Štivičić, Where the Wild Boars Go leans on a strong ensemble — Fabijan Šovagović, Mladen Crnobrnja, Gordan Piculjan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about crime titles of 1971.
