Four adults nearing 40, living under the same roof, struggle to keep their relationships and their individual dreams alive.

Follow a tight-knit group of young adults from all walks of life who come together to form a rock band the summer after graduating from high school. Set against the backdrop of Wilmington, North Carolina, The Runarounds must choose between succumbing to the pressures of real life or risking everything to become the greatest band of all time.

Blossom Russo is a highly intelligent and spunky teenager. The youngest of three, she lives with her divorced musician father, Nick, eldest brother and recovering substance abuser Anthony, and decidedly not-so-bright middle brother Joey. Along for the ride is Blossom's ditzy best friend, Six, who sometimes shows flashes of great perception.

He Qiaoyan, the stoic CEO of Heshi Group, and Qin Yiyue, a warm and optimistic child psychologist, find their relationship evolving from professional acquaintance to love when Qin Yiyue begins working with He Qiaoyan's son.
