In the late 15th century, the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, the last Muslim stronghold in Spain after eight centuries of splendor, faces its final days. As the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella launch their campaign to conquer the Emirate, internal rivalries, palace intrigues, and power struggles within the Nasrid dynasty — particularly between Sultan Muley Hacén, his son Boabdil, and the rival factions of the Abencerrajes and Zegríes — accelerate the kingdom’s downfall.
