About Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-Long
Taking place in a Wild West setting, Ricochet Rabbit works as a sheriff in the town of Hoop 'n' Holler. Ricochet bounces off stationary objects yelling "Bing-bing-bing!" His deputy and foil Droop-a-Long Coyote is not as fast and is very clumsy.
Directed by William Hanna, Joseph Barbera, Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-Long leans on a strong ensemble — Don Messick, Mel Blanc — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The series landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 1964.
