The director's daughter, Raila Tuulo, is the only one who has seen the burglar terrorizing the city, the mysterious "Blue Overalls," and recognizes him as Joel Ormak. Under Raila's influence, Joel gives up his wild lifestyle and his former love interest, the vampish Iris Vild. But a murder takes place at a nightclub, and the victim's last words are Joel's name. Approximately 16 minutes of footage and excerpts from the film have been preserved.

The Finnish War 1808-1809 is over and Russia has conquered Finland from Sweden. All weapons in the country are meant to be handed over to the new ruler, but in some small places people are preparing for an uprising.

Lardozo falls in love with country girl named Kirsi but soon one of his lady friends, Tanja, arrives from Paris.

Manjardo, a young Gypsy leader has spent a lively and joyful life with his young women, Glafira and very keen Akris. He will soon be married to the daughter of the master of another tribe, Esmeralda. From this, her mistresses are no more enthusiastic than Esmeralda and Manjardoka, so the parties of this future couple have never even met each other.

During his childhood he was known by the Russian nickname, Fedya. The local authorities immediately place a memorial stone in his honour, but the local peasants are confused and even angry about the unwanted publicity and guests.
