Asfur is an Israeli television series, which is broadcast on the channel HOT3. Its title, which literally means "bird" in Arabic, is the main protagonist's "good luck bird" – his late grandfather believed that its arrival symbolized a positive turn of events. Hot had already started working on two additional seasons even before the television pilot was aired. Season two began airing on October 17, 2011. Savyon and Amir sold the format to John Wells in October 2011. The adaptation, named "Hard Up", will air on FOX.

The series tells the story of Nadav Feldman , a young social worker , who discovers that he is adopted and finds himself in the depths of his biological father's family, Baruch Asulin, a leader of an organized crime syndicate in Israel known as "Ha-Borer"(The Arbitrator), due to his activities as an arbitrator in disputes in the underworld. The series focuses on the combination of dramatic stretches , the conflict between the norms of society including crime, especially norms and codes of conduct of the underworld. Among other highlights of the series, in a satirical way, the contrast between certain behaviors of some of the heroes of the series (as a demonstration of piety) and other behaviors (such as the blatant disregard for human life).

Two friends, a nerdy girl and a wannabe rockstar boy, spend a night at the museum and interact with various historical figures.

At a private oil factory on the outskirts of Jerusalem, dozens of workers labor under poor conditions and face humiliating treatment. Beneath the surface, tensions are simmering and a protest is brewing. Under the auspices of the Histadrut labor federation, the workers are demanding the establishment of a committee to represent them faithfully. The organization threatens the factory management, and its aggressive and contemptuous attitude toward the workers escalates. Their legitimate demands are rejected outright and their dignity is trampled upon. The workers' helplessness in the face of management's insensitivity leads to the outbreak of a violent strike at the factory gates, from which there is no turning back.
