After witnessing the murder of her father, the little Mikoa flees the plantation where he works as a slave. The young native is raised and educated in the mission, becoming a good man in love with his childhood friend, however, still has much hatred for the person who killed his father, Charles, a cruel white overseer who now at the service of revolutionary blacks.
