The rise of the independent record industry in Scotland and why it continues to produce some of the most interesting and influential pop music in the world - as told by the indie pioneers and global superstars who made the music, the people behind the scenes, and the fans.

Over 25 years and 10 studio albums—using powerful sonic force mixed with subtlety and grace—Mogwai have defined their own musical genre and built a cult following. The film takes us on a journey from their very beginnings, in the mid 1990s, to creating their tenth studio album in their hometown of Glasgow in 2020. While at first seemingly impossible to make, they ultimately made history with it.

A live performance premiere of the new album ‘As The Love Continues’. Filmed and recorded at the Tramway Theatre, Glasgow, and directed by Mogwai's long term collaborator Antony Crook, the broadcast will be the first opportunity to hear the new album in full.

A new documentary explores the rise of Scotland's independent music scene in the '90s, led by cult label Chemikal Underground. On the journey, we revisit a defining, chaotic trip early in the musicians' careers, re-staging a concert in Brittany that connects the characters in life (and on stage) for the first time in many years.
