An inventive artist wants to shoot an erotic romp, but it's not as simple as he imagines.

Anka, a student active in the extra-parliamentary opposition, has had enough of inconsequential discussions. As she no longer believes that she can change the world with words alone, she plans a militant action: as a protest against the Vietnam War, she plants a bomb in a Cologne department store to force the public into a debate.

Everyday life in a commune near Munich in the spring of 1969

An underage girl starts an affair with her much older employer. Then, her lover is sentenced for the seduction of a minor, and the young woman gets involved with his son, the junior head of the company. When his father is released from prison, father and son become rivals for their shared lover.

Munich in the 1970s: A group of young people are killing time. Sylvie has broken up with her boyfriend, and a short time later he marries someone else. The slacker Rolf enters Sylvie's life and together they decide to form a circus group with their friends, mostly untalented petty crooks, and move to the provinces.

A former bank clerk conceives a one-man robbery at the bank he works. He had before established an alibi for himself pretending and declaring him legally dead. Further complications ensue when he rejoins his estranged wife.
