Desirée is a young podiatry student who starts working as a sales assistant in a shoe store. She and the owner, Manuel, seem to have little in common, but they will soon discover that they are a perfect match for each other.

On a Sunday morning, Luís, a beggar who pleads for alms next to a church, is surprisingly invited to the birthday of two rich young women. What seems like a bad joke turns into a terrifying night that Luís will have a hard time forgetting.
