Set in the fictional Midlands town of Letherbridge, defined as being close to the city of Birmingham, this soap opera follows the staff and families of a doctor's surgery.

Family Liaison Officer Lisa Armstrong becomes a little too emotionally involved with a case (to the point where she might compromise it) concerning a pair of missing Morecambe twins to whose distraught parents she is assigned.

Through the eyes of an aspiring documentary film maker called Nathan, fostered siblings are reunited and go on a journey together to uncover the past, people and gain closure on the mysteries of the home they were raised in.
