The next generation of UFC stars are produced in an intense elimination tournament that separates the contenders from the pretenders.

The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes is the second foreign version of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)-produced reality television series The Ultimate Fighter. Like The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, this version was filmed, in its entirety, outside Las Vegas, Nevada and consisted of 13 episodes with a live finale in Australia. The season tournament finale, along with the coaches fight, took place on 14 December 2012 at UFC on FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson.

UFC on FX 4: Maynard vs. Guida was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on June 22, 2012 in Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The main event consists of a five-round, non-championship, bout between Clay Guida and Gray Maynard.

UFC Fight Night 81: Dillashaw vs. Cruz was a mixed martial arts event held on January 17, 2016, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. A UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between defending champion T.J. Dillashaw and former WEC and UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz headlined this event.

UFC on FX 6: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on 15 December 2012, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland, Australia.

UFC Fight Night 21: Florian vs. Gomi was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on March 31, 2010 at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, This was the third time the UFC held an event in Charlotte, but the first since UFC 5.

UFC Fight Night 30: Machida vs. Munoz was a mixed martial arts event held on October 26, 2013 at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom. The event was expected to be headlined by a middleweight bout between top contenders Michael Bisping and Mark Muñoz. However, on September 27 Bisping pulled out of the bout with an eye injury and was replaced by Lyoto Machida.

UFC Fight Night 22: Marquardt vs. Palhares was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on September 15, 2010 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The event also served as a lead in to the season premiere of The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck.

UFC Fight Night 55: Rockhold vs. Bisping was a mixed martial arts event held at the Allphones Arena in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on November 8, 2014.

UFC Fight Night 42: Henderson vs. Khabilov was a mixed martial arts event held on June 7, 2014, at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A lightweight bout between former WEC and UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson and Rustam Khabilov served as the event headliner.

UFC on ESPN 2: Barboza vs. Gaethje was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that was held on March 30, 2019 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A lightweight bout between Edson Barboza and former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje served as the event headliner.

UFC Fight Night 99: Mousasi vs. Hall 2 (also known as UFC Fight Night 99) was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that was held on 19 November 2016 at The SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. A middleweight rematch between former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall was announced as the headliner.

UFC Fight Night 110: Lewis vs. Hunt was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on 11 June 2017 at the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. A heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and the 2001 K-1 World Grand Prix winner and former interim title contender Mark Hunt served as the main event.

UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on August 27, 2011 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

UFC 105: Couture vs. Vera was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on November 14, 2009 in Manchester, England at the Manchester Evening News Arena. This event aired on the same day, via tape delay, on Spike in the U.S.

UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Sunday, 27 February 2011 at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.

UFC Fight Night 85: Hunt vs. Mir was a mixed martial arts event held on March 20, 2016 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia. It was headlined by a heavyweight bout between the 2001 K-1 World Grand Prix and former interim title contender Mark Hunt and former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir.

UFC 141: Lesnar vs Overeem was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Friday December 30, 2011, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC 185: Pettis vs. dos Anjos was a mixed martial arts event held on March 14, 2015 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
